Collection: Hugo, Downton

Nestled between the New Forest to the south and the ancient market town of Salisbury to the North is a farm owned by an extraordinary man doing extraordinary things. After years of making wine in France, Hugo returned to his family’s organic farm in Wiltshire and turned part of it over to classic Champagne varietals Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc as well as a little Pinot Gris. Everything is cultivated organically and according to biodynamic norms, with over 20 different types of clover, herbs and legumes planted in between the vines to ensure maximum biodiversity (and, in the winter, a tasty diet for Hugos organic sheep who keep it all in check for him!). The result is truly stellar, and - with no additives and only using only wild native yeasts - as ‘wild’ as wine gets.
