Wylde about….Crisps.
I love crisps.
But then again, who doesn’t?
We grow up with them. They’re everywhere - parties, pubs, picnics and school lunch boxes. They’re a British staple, really.
But here’s the thing. Pretty much every crisp any of us has ever eaten will have been deep fried in seed oils.
And seed oils, my friends, are bad news.
I’ve tried not to eat seed oils for two years now. But that gets very tricky indeed if you’re in the market for a crisp or two, let me tell you.
So I confess to being selfishly delighted when we came across Ellie and Veronica and their frankly brilliant crisps.
They’re made with organic potatoes. Big tick.
And they’re fried in organic coconut oil. Seriously big tick.
Very lightly salted - I actually added a little more of my own salt as they accompanied my cold beer last night, Ellie and Veronica are launching their fantastic crisps on our market at the frankly silly price of £1.50.
Try them. I think you’ll love them.
