Wylde about….Big Chicken.

Chicken didn’t used to be dirt cheap.

It certainly wasn’t for our grandparents, or anyone who ever lived before them. It was very much a ‘treat’.

And then Big Food got involved and, well, you most likely wouldn’t be reading this email if you didn’t know what happened next….

But a lot of people don’t. They go on eating cheap chicken, just as they’ve been told by a cynical multi-billion dollar industry.

Which is why I was delighted - if that’s the word - to watch comedian Mo Gilligan’s ‘Big Chicken’ documentary on Netflix recently.

I mean, it’s awful, of course. 

Grim, in fact. 

But it brings home some very important truths to an audience significantly more youthful than me. And that, at least as far as I am concerned, is very, very important indeed. 

I was glad to have watched it, even though it sickened me. I think you might be, too. Particularly, perhaps, if you have some young people to watch it with.
