If you’re doing Dry January, I salute you.
Giving up the sauce in this dark, cold month of mind-boggling short days is particularly impressive in my view. Because it must be very, very hard.
I confess I’ve never even tried, and perhaps I should. But the truth is that, thus far, my January has been decidedly ‘wet’.
And a rather wonderful podcast is (at least in part) to blame.
That’s right, Tom Parker Bowles and Henry Jeffreys are back with their rip-roaring Intoxicating History.
This latest episode, which also features the dulcet tones of Tas - Wylde’s very own resident Kiwi - is all about the favourite tipples of American presidents: from Washington’s madeira to Kennedy’s French wine and Obama’s beers.
If it gets you in the mood, don’t forget that our Bottle Store, where you’ll find a wide range of organic and natural wines, beers and spirits, is open right now.
But why not take a Sunday morning trip to the market first? Order now for nationwide delivery on Friday.
Happy Sunday, whether it’s wet or dry.
Nick
PS - don’t forget to refer your friends. You’ll get £50 to spend on the market when they buy. And they’ll get £30 + free delivery! Click here for details.
