Wylde about....Models.

Wylde about....Models.

I’m not talking about the catwalky Zoolander kind of models, I’m afraid.

Sorry.

I’m talking about business models. (Stay with me here.)

Supermarkets have been in the press a lot recently. They’ve been exposed – again – for shafting producers.

No one should be surprised.

Because it’s baked into their business model.

They buy cheap – like, really, really cheap– and sell as high as they think they can get away with. It’s just what they do. It’s what they’ve always done.

Our model couldn’t be more different. Night and day, in fact.

Because with Wylde, it’s the producers who set the prices.

The folk who grow, catch and make your food decide what it should cost. They work out what they need to charge in order to make a sustainable – in every sense of the word – living.

You buy from them, not us.
We’re a market. We own no stock.

So we’re price agnostic. If you like the produce and you like the price, you buy it. If you don’t, you don’t.

It’s all very simple, really.
It means that all of us – producer, Wylde and you – are aligned.
It’s about community.
It’s about respect.

And that ain’t ever going to go out of fashion.
