Wylde about....La Nueva Cosecha.

Wylde about....La Nueva Cosecha.

The Spanish know a thing or two about olive oil.

So when you live there, you can’t help but learn a thing or two about olive oil.

Well, at least you do if you're a bit of a food nerd, like me.

Anyway, one of the things I learned is that not all olive oils are equal.

I’m talking about what I suppose you could call ‘freshness’.

Because what I didn’t realise until I went to live in Spain is that olive oil diminishes with age.

It doesn’t go off, obvs.

But apparently it does, over time, lose both its flavour and those famous health benefits.

It’s why the Spanish make such a big deal about ‘la nueva cosecha’ – oil from the new harvest.

And it’s why I’m delighted that Susana has listed her family’s beautiful 2025/2026 harvest. Grown without pesticides or herbicides on her family farm in Jaen, this oil is just bursting with polyhpenols.

More importantly, it tastes totally amazing.

Go Wylde this Sunday.

Nick

PS – don’t forget to add a bottle or three to your order. It honestly couldn't be easier....
