And it was by watching his new Netflix series, This Is A Gardening Show, that I learned that apparently in ancient Egypt to remove worms from the soil was a crime punishable by death.
Harsh, perhaps, but a clear indicator of quite how highly those ancient Egyptians valued their soil - and that’s all grist to our mill.
Anyway, the worms thing is but one of very many beautiful little gems that tumble out of this charming series which is all about humans and how much happier we are if we spend time in gardens.
It’s all very, very Wylde and I think you might enjoy it.
