WARM SPICED APPLE & OAT CRUMBLE WITH CRÈME FRAÎCHE

Soft baked apples under a buttery oat crust — autumn comfort finished with cool crème fraîche.

Ingredients
1.2kg biodynamic organic apples
120g porridge oats
100g butter
70g honey
pinch ground cinnamon or nutmeg
200ml crème fraîche (to serve)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 180 °C.
 
Peel, core and slice apples; toss with half the honey and the spice.
 
Place in a baking dish.
 
Combine oats, remaining honey and butter; rub with fingertips until crumbly.
 
Sprinkle the topping over the apples.
 
Bake for 30–35 mins until the fruit is tender and the top golden brown.
 
Serve warm with a generous spoonful of crème fraîche.
