“All disease begins in the gut”. It’s amazing that Hippocrates, the father of medicine, knew this over two thousand years ago. Because it’s only relatively recently that we’ve really able to pin down why, and how.I briefly mentioned Tim Spector’s work in this area in a recent piece on gut health and the brilliant Kimberley Wilson. I’ve got a huge amount of time for Tim. He’s leading the fight on alerting folk to the damage done by bad eating. And he’s doing in a way that is accessible; conversational, and in plain English. That’s why I’m recommending this brilliant podcast he did with Grace Beverley. If, like me, you’ve read and seen a fair bit of Tim’s stuff before you’ll still get plenty out of it. Trust me. And if you’re at the beginning of your gut health journey, then I’m almost envious that you have this to listen to. Because when it comes to your health, eating well is about putting fences at the top of the cliff - not ambulances at the bottom. Nick
